Design with purpose.

Design with Purpose for People and the Planet.

MAKE IT POP is an architecture and interior design studio in Bangkok. Our team has more than ten years of experience and over 50 completed projects, mostly houses, along with hostels, cafes, shops and offices. On every job we ask two things first: how will people live in this space, and what sun and wind does it have to live with? The answers are where the design begins. We call this way of thinking Ecometry Architecture.

02 Ecological architecture

What is ecological architecture?

Ecological architecture treats a building as part of the environment around it. For us it starts with simple questions: where does the sun come from, which way does the wind blow, and where should the house face, open up and close?

  1. 01

    Simulate the real sun

A sunlight simulation reads the heat and the direction of light on the site before we design.

  2. 02

    Orient the building

Turn away from the afternoon sun, catch the prevailing wind, and put the main living spaces where they are most comfortable.

  3. 03

    Shade with screens or eaves

Less heat gets into the house, and the daylight stays just right.

  4. 04

    Open paths for the wind

Natural ventilation carries the heat away, so the house stays cooler without the air-conditioning on all the time.

03 What we believe

What we believe

  1. 01

    Design with purpose

Everything in a design needs a reason: how it will be used, the site, and the owner’s real budget. Every part of the space should earn its place.

  2. 02

    Design with climate

The Thai sun is strong, but a house doesn’t have to be hot. We simulate the sun on every site before we lay out a plan.

  3. 03

    For people & the planet

Spaces that are good to the people in them, use less energy, and still keep the fun of design.
