About the project
A two-storey white box. We stacked the volumes slightly off each other, so the upper floor shades the spaces below. The front wall is a grid screen that filters the light and screens the house from the street, and the carport has a light steel roof: daylight comes through, but the sun doesn’t fall straight onto the car.
Inside, dark grey is paired with white. The kitchen and dining room open into each other and look out to the garden. The bedroom has dark timber-batten walls, to make it the quietest room in the house.
